Sharks of Rangiroa (French Polynesia)
18.78 (r.r.p)

Award winning footage by Peter Schneider and Rachel Campergue

This highly acclaimed film takes you on a journey to French Polynesia to see the beautiful grey sharks, hammerhead sharks and white tip reef sharks. Other species including the amazing manta ray are featured.

In addition to the spectacular scenery, both above and below the sea surface, the film takes you to the far eastern markets in places such as Hong Kong where shark fins are sold as a delicacy. You get some of the opinions of Chinese people for whom the shark fin has a special significance on big occasions, like turkey or goose at Christmas. And so the plight of the shark is brought into relief.

Main feature running time 52 minutes.
